ChaloChalo

Community rules & terms

Plain-language rules for using ChaloChalo. By creating an account you agree to them.

  1. Cost-sharing, not business. ChaloChalo connects people who are already travelling. Fares should be a fair share of running costs (fuel, tolls). Commercial taxi or transport operations should not list rides as private carpools.
  2. Be who you say you are. Use your real name, a real photo and your own phone number. Fake profiles are removed.
  3. Respect everyone. Harassment, discrimination or abuse of any kind leads to a permanent ban. Women-only rides must be respected.
  4. Drive safely and legally. Drivers must hold a valid licence, have valid vehicle registration and insurance, and follow traffic laws and motorway speed limits.
  5. Show up, or cancel early. If plans change, cancel in the app as soon as possible so others can adjust.
  6. Honest live sharing. Only share a live location for a vehicle you are actually in. Faking locations to earn points gets your points removed and may get your account suspended.
  7. Payments are between members. ChaloChalo does not handle money and is not a party to agreements between members. Never pay in advance to someone you haven't met.
  8. Your responsibility. ChaloChalo is a free community platform provided “as is”. Members travel at their own risk and are responsible for their own decisions and conduct.
